I am currently the Senior Research & Evaluation Manager at Kiva.org. As part of the Kiva Labs initiative, I focus on how and where access to subsidized credit can help to alleviate poverty. I have a PhD in Agriculture & Resource Economics from UC Berkeley. My research has focused on various approaches to measuring individual and aggregate welfare, and how that informs survey design and impact evaluation. I’m especially interested in financial inclusion and how to identify it.
